The City of Franklin celebrates Catfish Derby Days this weekend. The festivities kick off today (FRI) with the annual fishing tournament, which goes the duration of the weekend, as well as softball, horseshoe and chess tournaments, the Queen Contest at 7:30, and a street dance beginning at 8. Saturday’s Catfish Derby Days highlights include volleyball and bean bag tournaments, a flea market and auction, the Firemen’s Water Ball beginning at 1pm, the “Kiss The Catfish Contest” at 8:30, and another street dance to wrap up the evening. On Sunday there’s a Kiddie Parade at 1pm, followed by the big parade, a kid’s pedal pull, kid’s waterball, and a dj providing music in the park. A raffle will close out the Franklin Catfish Derby Days celebrations.
