The 17th annual Brown County Relay For Life wrapped up this (SAT) morning at the Brown County Fairgrounds in New Ulm, and a total of $95,305 was raised in the fight against Cancer. Brown County Relay For Life Co-Chair Sue Dietz says it was a great night. There were a total of 23 teams that took part in the Brown County Relay For Life, along with 5 “Virtual” teams. The top fundraising team was Citizens Bank, raising over $17,000, and the New Ulm Medical Center team came in second with over $8,600. The top fundraising individuals were Jeanne Kretsch and Beth Wendinger, both from Citizens Bank. There were 4,500 Luminaries lit as well. The Brown County Relay For Life has now raised over $1.3-million for the American Cancer Society over the course of 17 years.
