A Mankato man faces multiple felony charges after allegedly assaulting a man and stealing his car Monday night. Blue Earth County Sheriff’s deputies were called to a convenience store in LeHillier at around 8pm Monday after a bleeding man was spotted flagging down vehicles on County Road 69. The 25 year-old man from Owatonna told authorities that he was assaulted and his car was stolen. He was taken to the Mankato Mayo Hospital to be treated for undisclosed injuries. At just before midnight, a state trooper located the stolen vehicle near the Eastwood Manor Mobile Home Park in Mankato, and 23-year-old Dustin Lee Murilla was taken into custody. He faces numerous charges, including 2nd-degree assault and attempted murder.
