Bavarian Blast 2012 is history, and the organizers of New Ulm’s annual summer festival are calling it a success. Bavarian Blast Board Chair Paul Sabatino says that it was a great weekend, and that the festival will almost certainly return next year. He says that the new layout was a hit, and that people came from all over the world to party in New Ulm. Tentative contracts have reportedly already been negotiated with Alex Meixner, Copper Box, and Molly B. & Squeezebox for next year’s Bavarian Blast. Sabatino says that the Craft Show will be even bigger next year as well, and that the Sauerkraut Eating Contest, Barrel Races, and Wiener Dog Races will return also. Pending Board approval, Bavarian Blast 2013 will be held July 19th, 20th and 21st. Pictured is the view from on-stage during the festival’s Grand Finale on Sunday.
