Amboy Child Porn Sentencing 05 Jul 12

A 52-year-old Amboy man has been sentenced to 120 days in jail and 5 years of probation for possession of child pornography as well as manufacture of methamphetamine. Dwight Thomas Traxler was arrested in February after his girlfriend called the Blue Earth County Sheriff’s Department to report she had found child pornography on a computer disc at his home. During a search of Traxler’s home authorities discovered thousands of images depicting child pornography, as well as the ingredients commonly used for manufacturing meth. A two-year prison sentence was stayed for the length of his probation after Traxler pleaded guilty to 2 counts of possession of child pornography and 1 count of 5th-degree drug possession. Traxler had been sentenced to 71 months in federal prison in 1997 as well for manufacturing meth in a rented garage in Jordan.
