Woods Tied for Lead at Open 16 Jun 12

Tiger Woods is one of three golfers tied atop the U.S. Open leaderboard at The Olympic Club. He shares the lead with David Toms and Jim Furyk at one-under-par. First-Round leader Michael Thompson stumbled to a five-over 75 in the Second Round and sits tied with three others, including 2010 U.S. Open winner Graeme McDowell, at one-over. Amateur Beau Hossler is tied in ninth at three-over. Phil Mickelson finished seven-over, one stroke under the plus-eight cut. This year’s Masters champion Bubba Watson and last year’s winner of this event Rory McIlroy [[ MAC-ill-roy ]] both missed the cut and nine and 10-over respectively. World number-one Luke Donald finished at 11-over-par and also missed the cut.
