Denard Span’s RBI single in the bottom of the 15th gave the Twins a 5-4 win over the Brewers. Span finished with four hits to help Minnesota avoid a three-game sweep. Joe Mauer went 3-for-4 with two RBI before leaving in the seventh with a leg injury. Anthony Swarzak was credited with his first win. The Twins open up a three-game set with Pittsburgh tomorrow.
