Residents continue cleaning up after storms hammered parts of west-central and south-central Minnesota Sunday night. Brian Fenske from Renville county’s Boon Lake Township says he lost half-a-dozen trees on his lawn and the storm pretty much destroyed the north part of his grove. He says it sounded like a train as it blew through his yard. At least 14 buildings were damaged by strong winds in Meeker County, including six turkey barns and grain bins. One residence lost its roof and windows were blown out of a home in Atwater, and the Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City football bleachers were flipped onto the field by the wind. A tornado was reported near Wheaton in Traverse County and funnel clouds were spotted in Chippewa, Swift, Lac Qui Parle, Pope, Kandiyohi and Renville counties.
