An 18-year-old St. James man has begun the long road to recovery after losing a leg in an accident with an auger last week. Ross Henderson was working at a feed mill when his foot got caught in the auger. His injuries were so severe that he was taken to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale, where his left leg was amputated. The former high school athlete is now undergoing 30 minutes of physical therapy twice a day, and will have to wait for up to six weeks to receive a prosthetic. A fund to help Henderson has been set up at the Ormsby State Bank under his name.
