The Sleepy Eye City Council will be considering giving the green light to a 4th of July fireworks display for the city during it’s meeting this (TUE) evening. The resolution being debated would allow Sleepy Eye firefighters to put on the fireworks show for the holiday. In other business, the council will consider the sale of $2.7-million in bonds for the 2012 Sleepy Eye Street and Utility Project, and will hear an update on the 2012 hospital project. The council will also consider a request to pave the former Rockies property for parking, and will accept bids on the Snow Farm project. The Sleepy Eye City Council meeting this evening starts at 7 o’clock in the council chambers.
