River levels are beginning to drop around the state, but people still need to be cautious. The DNR’s Tim Smalley says many rivers are still fast-moving. He says you can call the DNR or check their website for up-to-date information on levels around the state. Water levels remain high on the Cottonwood River in New Ulm, and moderately high at communities along the Minnesota River. A Flood Advisory had been in effect this (THU) morning for western Redwood County as well due to heavy rain in some locations.
