A Nicollet City Councilor resigned from his post this week, and the council appointed a replacement for him during the same meeting. Councilor Cory Johnson cited time constraints as the main reason for his resignation, saying he is extremely busy traveling in his career, as well as with his involvement coaching community baseball and softball. He has served the City of Nicollet for 10 years. Following his resignation, the council voted to appoint Mary Wels to the seat. She will serve until the election this November.
