NFL Suspends Simpson 12 Jun 12

The NFL has suspended Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jerome Simpson three games and fined him an additional game paycheck for violating the league’s substance abuse policy. Simpson was sentenced to 15 days in jail after pleading guilty in April to a felony drug charge. He had a career year in 2011 with 50 catches for 725 yards and four touchdowns with Cincinnati Bengals. Simpson will be eligible to play after the Vikings’ September 23rd game against San Francisco.
