Vendors at the Minnesota State Fair will be offering 40 new food items this year. Some are traditional fare while others might be considered exotic. The Holy Land Deli is serving up a Middle Eastern dish of marinated lamb testicles, which are served either grilled with sautéed onions or deep-fried. Other unusual dishes in the International Bazaar include camel burger sliders and beef tongue tacos. Other new menu items around the State Fair this year will include: bacon ice cream, two varieties of fresh sushi, red velvet funnel cake, mashed sweet potato on a stick, cranberry wontons, lamb fries, and freshly cut French fries topped with gravy and white cheddar cheese curds.
