Holiday Traffic Deaths 01 Jun 12

The Minnesota Department of Public Safety says that preliminary crash reports show that four people were killed on Minnesota roads during the Memorial Day holiday weekend. The deaths pushed the state’s annual traffic fatality count above the 100-death milestone, to 103. A statewide Click It or Ticket seat belt enforcement campaign continues through the weekend. Officials say that unbelted motorists have represented a significant amount of Minnesota’s traffic fatalities in recent years, with teens and young adults, and motorists in Greater Minnesota, as the main victims.
