A major resurfacing project got underway Monday on Highway 169 in Mankato. The nearly $5.5-million project stretches from the Minnesota River North Star Bridge to Blue Earth County Road 115. Lane and ramp restrictions will be in effect with reduced speeds, and motorists should expect delays throughout the project. There will be extra law enforcement patrolling the area to ensure safety as well. The work is scheduled to be completed by the end of the month. Remember that fines are doubled in work zones.
