Authorities released the identity on Friday of the person killed in a crash with a semi-truck near the City of Cottonwood Monday night. 21-year-old Alan Maag of Cottonwood was driving a Buick LeSabre on Lyon County Road 32 when he failed to stop at the intersection with Highway 23 and his car broadsided the semi at just after 10:30pm. Maag was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the semi was not hurt.
