Credit Card Fraud Sentencing 06 Jun 12

A New Ulm woman accused of charging nearly $9,000 worth of purchases on her ex-boyfriend’s bank card has been sentenced to 20 days in jail and 5 years on probation for the crime. 29-year-old Michelle Lynn Apitz was sentenced on the felony credit card fraud charge on Monday in Brown County Court, and 2 other charges were dismissed. She had reportedly used the man’s card a total of 64 times from February 2010 through August 2011. In court on Monday she was ordered to pay $8,700 in restitution with $160 monthly payments. Her jail time may be served with Sentence To Service.
