A Grand Jury handed down two 1st-degree murder indictments against a 29-year-old Ceylon man this week. Brian Daniel Freeman is accused of murdering his estranged wife’s boyfriend during a home invasion in February. He allegedly used a hammer to assault the woman and 37-year-old Christopher Michael Fulmer while they were in bed in Fulmer’s home in Blue Earth, and then attacked his wife’s two teenage daughters. 38-year-old Candice Marie Freeman and the two girls suffered life threatening injuries in the attack, but did recover. Brian Freeman now faces a total of 11 felony charges, including 1st-degree premeditated murder and attempted murder, and he may end up spending the rest of his life in prison. An omnibus hearing has been scheduled for July 18th, at which point a trial date may be set.
