Car Hits NU Dairy Queen 04 Jun 12

A portion of North Broadway in New Ulm was closed for a time on Sunday after a car jumped the curb and crashed into the patio of the New Ulm Dairy Queen. The vehicle ran over a small tree before striking the cement tables at the Dairy Queen at just before 4pm Sunday. New Ulm Police Sergeant Paul Kalow says that the driver apparently had a medical issue at the time of the crash. The driver has only been identified as a “middle-aged man” at this time. The 3 passengers in the vehicle were not hurt, and no one outside the vehicle was injured. A block of the southbound lane of Broadway was closed while authorities investigated the crash.
