Alcohol To Minors Sentence 22 Jun 12

A Springfield man has been sentenced to 2 years of supervised probation after being found guilty of furnishing alcohol to a minor. A Brown County Jury ruled that 29-year-old James D. Sowers was not guilty of criminal sexual conduct for the alleged sexual assault of a juvenile female in New Ulm last year, but was guilty of the gross misdemeanor furnishing alcohol to a minor charge. A 1-year jail sentence was stayed for the length of Sowers’ probation, and he will also be required to complete 10 days of Sentence To Service work. He was fined over a thousand dollars as well.
