Timberwolves fans who watch their team on television will hear a new voice next season describing the action. Tom Hanneman has been the TV voice of the Wolves, but will move to a new role at Fox Sports North. A replacement for “Hanny” as the television voice of the Wolves has not been named. Hanneman had called Timberwolves TV games for nine seasons and was the sideline reporter for many years prior to that. Fox Sports North is moving Hanneman to the role of lead anchor, where he will serve as studio host for most of the Wolves, Twins, Wild, and Gopher hockey telecasts starting next season. He takes over the role that was mostly filled by Anthony LaPanta, who was just promoted to the television voice of the Wild on FSN. In addition to finding a new TV voice of the Wolves, FSN is also still looking to find a replacement for LaPanta’s role as TV announcer for Gopher hockey on FSN.
