Twins Play Chicago 22 May 12

(Chicago, IL) — The Twins and White Sox renew a rivalry tonight that has been a good one in recent seasons. The American League Central foes have combined to win nine of the past 12 division titles, including the 2008 crown which was shared by the two teams and won by Chicago in a one-game playoff. This evening’s game starts a three-game series in Chicago and will be the first meeting of the year between the clubs. P.J. Walters gets the starting nod for the Twins. He has been good since his call-up from the minor leagues. Walters is 1-and-1 with a 3.65 earned run average. He will face veteran Gavin Floyd, who is 3-and-4 with a 3.44 ERA for the ChiSox this season. The first pitch is set for 7:10 p.m.
