Storms packing high winds and some hail rumbled across southern and central Minnesota on Tuesday, but no serious damage or injuries have been reported. A Tornado Watch was in effect for much of the area throughout the evening on Tuesday, and the National Weather Service says a brief tornado touchdown was reported near Brooten in west-central Minnesota, but there was no significant damage. Hail measuring nearly 2-inches shattered windshields in Albany in central Minnesota as well, and winds whipped up to 60 miles-per-hour or better in some locations. Rainfall in the KNUJ area ranged from just over an inch in New Ulm to just over 3 inches near Sleepy Eye. Another round of storms is possible this (WED) afternoon and into the evening across southern Minnesota also.
