The investigation into the cause of a recent house fire near St. James continues, with authorities still unsure how the fire started. St. James fire crews were called out to the Klarice Rinne home off County Road 3 just south of St. James last Wednesday afternoon, and were on the scene for over 5 hours. Crews from Butterfield were called in for mutual aid as well. No one was hurt in the fire, but the home is a complete loss. Investigators say the fire started on the outside of the home, but are unsure what started it or how long it had been smoldering before being noticed.
