The next several months will be busy in Redwood County when it comes to bridge construction. Starting in late May and early June, two of the bridges crossing the Minnesota River between Redwood and Renville counties will be closing for upgrades. The bridge at County Road 7 which is north of Belview will close later this week and will be followed by the closing of the bridge at County Road 11 between Morgan and Franklin during the first week of June. The closings were scheduled at this time to not interfere with school transportation. The construction is scheduled to be completed by August and is expected to cost $1.1-million using funds from the state gas tax.
