The New Ulm District 88 School Board will be discussing possible changes to the way it’s monthly meetings are held during it’s meeting this (THU) evening. District 88 holds school board meetings on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of every month. The new proposal calls for the first meeting of every month to become a “study session,” with the second meeting of the month then being dedicated to action items. The new meeting format would go into effect next year if approved. In other business this evening, the board will hear a report on the progress of mediation meetings to settle on a new contract with the teachers union, and consider a proposal for new fees for activity passes. The proposal would see the cost of Family passes increase by $50, amongst other changes. Today’s New Ulm School Board meeting begins at 7pm at the District Administrative Center.
