Twins medical officials should know more about the sore left wrist of left-handed hitting Justin Morneau later today. Morneau is scheduled to take a flight back to Minnesota today to have doctors examine the injured wrist, which forced him out of last night’s 4-3 loss at Los Angeles. Morneau left the game in the seventh inning after complaining about the pain it was causing him. He says the wrist had been feeling better earlier in the year, but began to “bark” over the weekend. He says it especially hurts the wrist to swing and miss.
Gardy Will Miss Seattle Series
(Anaheim, CA) — Twins manager Ron Gardenhire will not manage his club during their upcoming three-game series at Seattle. Instead, the 54-year-old skipper will be attending his daughter’s graduation at Southwest Minnesota State this weekend. Bench coach Scott Ulger will serve as field manager in Gardenhire’s place.
