A 62-year-old Madelia man facing multiple felony charges for his alleged involvement in an armed home invasion earlier this year has been transferred to the Brown County Jail. Jonathan Edward Jacobson is accused of entering a home on 2nd Street Southeast in Madelia with a handgun at around 4am on January 28th and demanding cash from a resident. He allegedly threatened to shoot the man before leaving with a hundred dollar bill. A search of Jacobson’s residence uncovered the cash and the loaded clip to a .22-caliber handgun. The gun itself was later located near his apartment building’s laundry room. Jacobson has been charged with burglary, robbery, false imprisonment, terroristic threats and assault, and his bail has been set at $200,000. He faces the possibility of up to 20 years in prison.
