Numerous high schools around the local area are holding formal dances this weekend as the Prom season begins to wind down. School districts with a Prom taking place on Saturday include: Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart, Central, New Ulm, Nicollet, Le Sueur-Henderson, Sibley East, Sleepy Eye, St. James and Truman. High school graduation ceremonies will begin around the area soon, with some of the early-start school districts of southwestern Minnesota beginning their graduations as early as next week.
