DNR Sticker Law Repealed 09 May 12

Minnesota boat owners do *not* need an invasive species sticker displayed after all. The state legislature has repealed the law that would have required the stickers on all boats beginning July 1st. The DNR wanted people to have the free stickers on their boats to remind them that state law still requires all water be drained from boats and bait buckets before leaving an access. Drain plugs have to be left out while transporting as well, and all zebra mussels and aquatic plants need to be removed to avoid spreading invasive species to other lakes.
