DNR Fishing Patrols 11 May 12

Expect to be checked. That’s the word from the Minnesota DNR on this eve of the fishing opener. Officials plan increased patrols along the state’s waterways, making sure people remove aquatic invasive species from their boating equipment. Anglers are reminded to drain bait buckets, bilges, wells and boats before leaving the water, and to remove aquatic plants from boats and trailers in order to prevent the spread of zebra mussels, Eurasian watermilfoil and spiny water fleas.
