Deer Population 02 May 12

Minnesotans are getting a few extra days to tell the DNR where the state’s deer population should be beefed up, thinned out – or left the way it is. The DNR wants public input before it sets harvest numbers for the deer hunt this fall. The DNR’s Steve Merchant says you can go to the Department’s website and register your feelings about how many deer should be taken in the various hunting permit areas. The DNR has extended the public input deadline to May 10th to give everyone a chance to weigh in.
