Brown County District 3 Commissioner Scott Windschitl filed for re-election on Wednesday. The 54-year-old New Ulm resident was first elected to the Brown County Board in February of 2011 following the resignation of Commissioner Deborah Dove the previous October. Windschitl says that he is seeking re-election because he enjoys the job and has learned valuable experience about the operations of Brown County, and believes that experience will be a huge asset to the district in the future. Windschitl has been the office manager for Windschitl Insurance for 25 years and has a degree in business management. He also has 31 years of volunteer fire-fighting experience, served on the Lafayette City Council for 8 years, and has worked as a jail dispatcher and enforcement officer. Brown County’s 3rd District includes the majority of the north side of New Ulm as well as most of Milford Township.
