Bonding Bill Goes To Governor 09 May 12

A roughly $500-million Bonding Bill for state public works projects is headed for the desk of Governor Dayton, who’s expected to sign it. The Minnesota House on Tuesday agreed with minor changes the Senate made to the bill on Monday. There’s money for economic development, bridges, flood prevention, affordable housing and local road projects, plus funding for building repairs and upgrades at the St. Peter Regional Treatment Center, along with the U-of-M and state colleges and universities. The Bonding Bill includes $44-million to begin the repair and renovation of the State Capitol as well.
