(St. Paul, MN) — Minnesota Wild general manager Chuck Fletcher says he remains optimistic about the future direction of the franchise. He says once he removes the emotional disappointment of missing the NHL postseason, he realizes the organization has put itself into a good position for the future. He says head coach Mike Yeo [[ YOH ]] set a foundation of how the game should be played and he’s pleased with that. He says they could add a couple of free agent players this offseason, while also utilizing some of the rising prospects in the minor league system to help the club improve for next year. After a fast start this season, injuries helped push the Wild out of playoff contention.
