Joe Mauer was 2-for-3 with two RBI and two walks, while reliever Matt Maloney grabbed the win and Matt Capps nailed down his fourth save. Starter Liam Hendriks gave up four runs across five-and-two-thirds innings and wasn’t involved in the decision. Evan Longoria knocked a two-run homer run, his third of the season in a losing effort. Matt Joyce hit a solo shot. Starter Matt Moore went six-and-one-third inning, giving up three runs and walked three. Reliever Brandon Gomes earned the loss.
