Twins Win, Baker done for year 12 Apr 12

(Minneapolis, MN) — Jamey Carroll singled home Chris Parmelee in the bottom of the seventh inning and the Twins held on to top the Angels, 6-5. Parmelee tripled in a pair earlier in the frame to tie the game at five. Josh Willingham lifted a two-run homer for Minnesota, which won for the first time this season. Jeff Gray earned the win and Matt Capps recorded the save. The teams will wrap up the series at 12:10 this afternoon.

Twins’ Baker Out For Year After Elbow Surgery
(Minneapolis, MN) — Twins pitcher Scott Baker will miss the entire season after having surgery on his injured right elbow. The 30-year-old was placed on the 15-day disabled list April 4th with what the team said was a strain in his elbow. He’s spent all seven of his major league seasons with Minnesota.
