Trial For Redwood Native’s Murder 03 Apr 12

A trial date has been set for the alleged murder of a Redwood Falls native in Colorado in 2010. The body of 41-year-old Stephanie Roller-Bruner was found in the Blue River near her home in Colorado in November of 2010, 3 days after her husband reported her missing. Her cause of death was later determined to be a combination of blunt force trauma, strangulation, hypothermia and drowning, and her husband, Dale Bruner was indicted by a grand jury on murder charges last August. He enter a plea of Not Guilty to charges of murder, assault and tampering with evidence in court on Friday, and a jury trial is now set to begin this July. Stephanie Roller-Bruner was a 1987 graduate of Redwood Valley High School. She had reportedly filed for a divorce just prior to her disappearance. Her brother is now caring for the couple’s 3 children in California.
