A train struck a semi-truck near the City of Lake Crystal Tuesday morning. It happened at around 10am at the intersection of Highway 60 and Ember Road, about 2 miles northeast of Lake Crystal. The Union Pacific train was heading eastbound when it struck the trailer of the truck as it was leaving Blue Star Power Systems. The trailer was totaled in the collision, and the train’s engine was damaged. No injuries have been reported, and the Blue Earth County Sheriff’s Office and the Minnesota State Patrol are investigating.
