The Minnesota DFL Party officially endorsed Ted Suss of Wabasso as it’s candidate for the District 16 State Senate seat during the district convention in Granite Falls over the weekend. Suss was unanimously chosen to run against Republican Incumbent Senator Gary Dahms of Redwood Falls. Suss served as a member of the Minnesota House of Representatives from 1975 to 1978, and has been the superintendent of Wabasso Public Schools since 2003. He also served as Executive Director of the Minnesota State Board of Education for 5 years. He is retiring from the Wabasso superintendent position at the end of the school year. He says he supports tax reform for the middle class, improving Minnesota schools, dealing with post-secondary education affordability and improving public infrastructure.
