Tornado warnings were issued in southern Redwood County and northern Renville County Saturday afternoon, and a tornado was confirmed to have touched down at a farmsite along Redwood County Road 10 in Johnsonville Township. Several greenhouses at the flower farm south of Lucan were damaged by the twister, and power lines were knocked down, but no injuries have been reported. The amount of damage is being estimated at around $20,000. The Redwood County Sheriff’s Office is also reporting multiple sightings of tornado and funnel clouds at several other locations, as well as scattered reports of hail. Some farmsites near Walnut Grove received damage also, and a funnel cloud that never touched down was spotted near Clara City.
