NU Sex Offender Arrested 11 Apr 12

A Level 3 Sex Offender living in the City of New Ulm has been taken into custody only 4 days after his release from jail. 48-year-old James Allen Binger was arrested on Monday on a probation violation after allegedly peeking into the windows of homes in New Ulm. Binger was released from jail last Thursday after serving time for a parole violation for exposing himself to a man at New Ulm’s Minnecon Park last November. He had moved to within a block of the home on South Front Street in New Ulm where he had previously lived. Binger had originally served an 86-month prison sentence for criminal sexual conduct involving young boys in Renville and Nicollet Counties. Renville County had unsuccessfully attempted to have Binger committed as a sexually dangerous person after his prison term. Criminal charges against him are now pending in Brown County.
