MN Troops Coming Home 09 Apr 12

Around 300 Minnesota National Guard soldiers per-day begin arriving at Camp Shelby in Mississippi this week as they prepare to come home. Minnesota National Guard Mobilization Officer Major Gerald Halloran says that nearly 3,000 of the state’s soldiers are returning home from Afghanistan and Kuwait, including troops from New Ulm, Redwood Falls, Hutchinson, St. Peter and Mankato. They will spend up to ten days de-mobilizing at Camp Shelby before returning in waves all across Minnesota. Specific dates and times will likely be announced a day or two before their scheduled return.
