Local Wrestler takes first at Nationals 06 Apr 12

NATE ROSE, OF SIBLEY EAST, WON THE HIGH SCHOOL NATIONALS WRESTLING TOURNAMENT SOPHOMORE DIVISION TITLE, WITH A 9-4 WIN. ROSE, WAS A STATE HIGH SCHOOL CHAMPION IN MINNESOTA IN MARCH, GOING 45-0 ON THE SEASON. HE ALSO WAS A NATIONAL CHAMPION LAST YEAR IN THE FRESHMEN NATIONALS TOURNAMENT. ROSE WAS ALSO A WRESTLER OF THE WEEK FOR KNUJ THIS PAST SEASON.

ALSO FROM THE GREATER KNUJ AREA, BRETT PFARR OF LESUEUR-HENDERSON FINISHED 4TH IN THE 170 LB. SENIOR DIVISION. HE WILL BE WRESTLING FOR THE GOPHERS AT THE U OF M NEXT FALL.

AND LARRY BOMSTAD OF ACGC WON THE NATIONAL SOPHMORE TITLE AT 145 LBS. BOMSTAD LOST IN OVERTIME TO MADELIA-TRUMANS ADAM COOLING IN THE STATE HIGH SCHOOL TOURNAMENT CHAMPIONSHIPS IN MARCH.
