A detour will be put up on Highway 4 north of St. James beginning today (MON) as Minnesota Department of Transportation crews begin replacing a bridge over the Watonwan River. Along with the replacement of the bridge, crews will also be installing new culverts for nearby drainage channels. The project will cost around $1.6-million, and is expected to be completed by the end of July. Traffic will detour on Highway 30, Watonwan County Roads 18 and 9, and Brown County Road 18. The detour adds 2 miles to the trip.
