Work on Highway 14 in North Mankato gets underway next week as Mn/DOT crews prepare for the construction of a new interchange and two miles of highway expansion. Work begins on Tuesday, May 1st. The initial preparation work will include widening the intersection at Nicollet County Roads 6 and 77 and setting up a detour. The detour will include Nicollet County Roads 6, 77, and 13, as well as Lookout Drive and a County Road 41 bypass. Motorists travelling on that section of Highway 14 are being advised to watch for workers once the project begins. Work is slated for completion in November of 2013.
