A rural Glencoe man is recovering after being shot by a sheriff’s deputy during a drug raid. 58-year-old Harry Lee Ondracek is in custody in the McLeod County Jail facing a 5th-degree controlled substance charge after being arrested Friday night. Three different law enforcement agencies were executing a search warrant at Ondracek’s residence when upon entry, A McLeod County Deputy discharged his weapon. Ondracek was treated at the Hutchinson Hospital before being taken to the McLeod County Jail. Following the shooting the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension took over the investigation. The deputy involved in the shooting is on paid administrative leave pending the results of the investigation. The Sibley County Sheriff’s Office and Hutchinson Police Department assisted at the scene. Further details have not been released.
