A 46-year-old Mankato man accused of sexually molesting a 16-year-old autistic boy was sentenced on Monday. Dennis Lee Hogate had faced 3 felony charges of criminal sexual conduct with a mentally impaired person for the alleged incidents, but he pleaded guilty to depriving another of their parental rights and the criminal sex charges were dropped. He served nearly a year in jail prior to agreeing to the plea deal. In court on Monday, Hogate was sentenced to 12 months and 1 day in prison, and ordered to report to the state correctional facility in St. Cloud immediately. He will be given credit for the 323 days he has already served behind bars.
