Chaska Murder Suspect Acquitted 20 Apr 12

A Minneapolis man facing a 2nd-degree murder charge for a stabbing outside a bar in Chaska last year has been acquitted. 32-year-old Jesse James Rogers was accused of stabbing 34-year-old Jason Foster of Chaska to death outside of Kelley’s Bar in downtown Chaska in early June of 2011. The murder trial of Rogers lasted nearly 2 weeks, and more than 20 witnesses were called, with Carver County Judge Richard Perkins ruling that Rogers be acquitted of the charge against him. He says his decision was based on credibility, and that there was insufficient evidence to sustain a conviction.
